Constructor Asia provides CR18 pallet racking and MOVO mobile system for smarter storage and sustainable operations

Material Handling Innovation with CR18 and MOVO for Cold Chain Efficiency

The Asia-Pacific region is entering a new era of supply chain complexity. Singapore’s Changi Airport is expanding with Terminal 5 to boost air cargo capacity, while ports across the Middle East and Asia are investing in green technologies. DP World’s recent deployment of electric terminal vehicles at Jebel Ali Port highlights the industry’s commitment to sustainability and operational efficiency.

Urban regulations and digitalization are also reshaping logistics. Cities such as Dubai are tightening compliance for last-mile delivery, and electronic documentation standards like the Electronic Bill of Lading (eBL) are gaining traction. These developments demand warehouses that are agile, energy-efficient, and automation-ready.

Constructor Asia delivers solutions that meet these challenges. At the core is the CR18 pallet racking system, engineered for high load capacity, seismic resistance, and modular scalability. CR18 supports diverse applications from FMCG to industrial goods and is designed for integration with automated storage and retrieval systems.

A key differentiator is MOVO mobile racking, which can increase storage density by up to 80 percent. MOVO is particularly valuable for cold chain environments where space optimization directly reduces energy consumption and helps maintain consistent temperatures. By minimizing aisle space and improving airflow, MOVO contributes to lower refrigeration costs and reduced food wastage — critical factors for operators in Southeast Asia’s growing fresh and frozen food markets.

While not yet widely deployed in Asia, HI280 shelving systems are part of Constructor’s global portfolio and offer proven performance in markets such as Australia and the United States. HI280 provides flexible solutions for small parts storage and multi-tier mezzanine configurations, making it an attractive option for e-commerce and spare parts distribution.

“Our customers in Asia need systems that combine efficiency, sustainability, and readiness for automation,” says Ms. Yap Pui Foong, Deputy General Manager at Constructor Asia. “CR18 and MOVO deliver exactly that, enabling operators to handle peak volumes while reducing operational costs and environmental impact.”
